2013 Mclaren MP4-12C Coupe
The Mclaren MP4-12C (later known as simply the 12C) was Mclaren's first ever production car wholly designed and built by Mclaren and their first road car since the fabled Mclaren F1.
The MP4-12C used a carbon fibre composite chassis, and is powered by a longitudinally-mounted McLaren M838T 3.8 L (3,799 cc) twin-turbocharged V8 engine, generating approximately 616 bhp (459 kW; 625 PS) at 7,500 rpm and around 600 N⋅m (443 lbf⋅ft) of torque at 5,600 rpm. 0-100km/h in 3.1s, 0-200km/h in 8.8s and a top speed of 333km/h. The 12C makes use of Formula 1-sourced technologies such as "brake steer", where the inside rear wheel is braking during fast cornering to reduce understeer. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission manufactured by SSG. The entire drivetrain is the first to be entirely designed and produced in house by McLaren.
This particular MP4-12C is finished in Graphite Grey with stealth package and has travelled 26,928km. The options on this car include:
-Carbon Fibre steering wheel
-Carbon fibre centre console
-Carbon fibre window controls
-Carbon fibre climate controls
-Carbon fibre McLaren 'kiwi' emblem on bonnet
-Front lifting suspension
-Forged 19" lightweight in stealth black and carbon fibre centre cap
-Stealth black exhaust finishing
-Full service history, original owner's handbook, log books and spare key
The 12C is surely to become a modern collectible given the success of McLaren and auction results of it's previous road car the McLaren F1. This particular 12C has been maintained to a very high level including recent replacement of the AC controls and McLaren factory upgrades.
