2006 Mercedes Benz SLR Mclaren

The SLR Mclaren is a collaboration between Mercedes and Mclaren. Built in Mclaren's automotive facility in Woking, UK, it featured a 5.5L Supercharged V8 with dry slump lubrication 626hp @ 6,500rpm and 780Nm @3,500-5,000rpm and a carbon fiber monocoque chassis.

On the road the SLR Mclaren is fast and retains familiar driving feel to the top Mercedes AMG vehicles, but on the track, the development of the chassis and handling are apparent and performance is very sharp. The dihedral 'swan' doors open up in a nod to the 300SLR gullwing race cars of the 1950s. In 2006 only 261 SLR were produced, between 2003-2010 only 2,157 vehicles were produced including coupes, roadster and speedster versions. Very collectible car.
