1973 Porsche Carrera 2.7 RS

The original RS model is now one of the most collectible cars ever produced. First shown at the 1972 Paris Auto Salon, the first 500 vehicles quickly sold out. Built to homologate the World Championship entry by Porsche, a new 2.7L 6-cylinder boxer engine developing 210hp propelled the lightweight Carrera RS (1,075kg RS Touring) to class leading handling and acceleration.

This particular example has recently been restored by Australia's leading Porsche specialists. Matching numbers and full history, possibly the most collectable Porsche ever made.
